What is miraDry?
miraDry is a nonsurgical treatment done to eliminate excessive sweating. It uses precise electromagnetic energy to target and destroy sweat glands. Without these glands, the armpit is drier and better smelling, so you can feel confident.
During treatment, a template is applied to your underarm area to help guide the placement of the treatment device. Then, a local anesthetic is injected into the treatment area to help ensure a comfortable experience. The miraDry device is then used to impact the targeted underarm glands. This entire process takes about an hour to complete.
Recovery
After your miraDry treatment, the underarms may be sensitive for a few days, with some mild swelling and redness possible. It may take up to three treatments to achieve optimal results. However, once the sweat glands are destroyed, they are gone for good, so you won’t have to worry about sweating in the future!
