You’re Never Too Old for Cosmetic Surgery
Go BackI get this question from my Northville friends and acquaintances a lot: How old is too old for cosmetic surgery? My answer is, “You’re never too old to look younger.” And here’s the evidence to back it up.
It seems only logical that, because more people are undergoing plastic surgery each year, those numbers would include patients over the age of 65.
A new study has revealed that older patients are at ‘no higher risk’ of complication from cosmetic surgery than their younger counterparts.
Cosmetic surgeons at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tennessee looked at data from over 129,000 cosmetic surgery patients over a five-year period and concluded that there was no significant difference in the risk of complication whether the patient was younger or older than 65.
What’s more, patients aged 80 and over were found to have a complications rate of just 2.2 per cent, compared to 1.9 per cent for all younger patients.
Like I said, you can look younger at any age. Call the Straith Clinic and see how we can turn back the hands of time.
