Neck Lift
The neck area is one of the first areas to show the signs of aging. In addition, extreme weight loss can leave the neck area very loose and uncharacteristic of the new overall look that has just been achieved. Some neck lift patients who come in from Dearborn, West Bloomfield and Detroit may include a combination of procedures which target sagging neck skin, underlying fatty tissue, muscle structures and jawline. What are your neck treatment options? Is it the fat, sagging skin or muscle that is causing your aesthetic concerns? Learn more:

Real Results
The Procedure:
Most of the procedures utilized for improving the neck are performed through an incision placed under the chin and/or an incision in back of the ears. To achieve the desired result and to improve the neck and jawline, a combination of procedures are necessary to help tighten and realign the muscle tissue (platysmaplasty),and remove excess skin and fatty tissue (submental lipectomy). On younger patients where there is only localized fat under the chin and muscle tightening is not necessary liposuction can be used. After the fat is removed by suction, the skin usually shrinks to the new contour of the neck. A cervicoplasty is performed when there is too much excess skin that cannot be removed by the incisions under the chin or behind the ear. This procedure involves additional incisions on the neck and is usually only performed on men.
Dr. William Sabbagh, I want to thank you for taking your time and doing such conscientious work on my recent surgery. Although it may seem that a patient should not have to thank a doctor for those things, I do, because I feel that you, and also your operating room staff, are the exception rather than the rule. Thanks so much.
R.D.
