We perform Eyelid surgery near Dearborn and West Bloomfield. Eyelid Surgery is known technically as a blepharoplasty. Upper and/or lower blepharoplasty, is performed to remove excess skin and bulging fat in the upper and/or lower lids which helps to visually lift the eyes. The muscle may also be tightened depending on need. The result is a more youthful appearance to the periorbital region. This eyelift plastic surgery can be performed in isolation, or more commonly, at the same time as a face lift.

How is the surgery performed?
During the eyelift surgery, our plastic surgeon makes lower eyelid incisions just below the eyelashes, extending slightly into the crowfeet lines. The transconjuctival approach involves an incision on the inside of the lower lid. This method leaves no external scar but only removes fat. For the upper eyelid, the plastic surgeon makes incisions in the normal lid crease. The excess fat and skin are removed.
