Bra-Line Back Lift
Fat bulges along the bra line and middle back are a common concern for men and women. Sagging skin also develops in these areas because of natural aging and weight loss. The bra-line back lift combines skin removal techniques with liposuction to eliminate excess skin and stubborn fat that is resistant to diet and exercise. Liposuction can also be used on the hips and waistline to address the entire back area and restore a smooth, toned appearance.

Who is a Good Candidate?

The Procedure
During the bra-line back lift procedure, a horizontal incision will be made across the back where women can conceal it under their bra or bathing suit. Excess skin will be removed and a small cannula will be used to break up and suction out the excess fat cells. The remaining skin will be carefully pulled up and stitched into place to tighten and eliminate unwanted folds and wrinkling and create a more toned appearance.
Bra-Line Back Lift Recovery
Moderate swelling, bruising, and soreness along the incision line are common for the first 1-2 weeks after bra-line back lift surgery. Swelling improves greatly after 1 month, but will not completely resolve for approximately 3-6 months. Patients will be instructed on compression garment use to help with swelling. Strenuous activity should also be avoided for several weeks but most patients can return to non-physically strenuous work and light activities within 1-2 weeks.
